Abstract
El sector turístico es uno de los que más contribuye al desarrollo del cantón Quevedo al ser una localidad poseedora de numerosos atractivos turísticos los mismos que aportan mayormente al desarrollo económico, turístico y social, hoy en día existe una evidente falta de deber en la preparación de proyectos estratégicos que ayuden a impulsar el turismo en el cantón Quevedo situado en la provincia de Los Ríos. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo principal implementar un diagnóstico con el fin de analizar la posibilidad que tiene la ciudad de Quevedo para ser considerado como Destino Turístico Inteligente (DTI), que durante el desarrollo de la investigación se denominará DTI, para poder estudiar más a fondo cada una de las fortalezas, oportunidades, amenazas y debilidades se implementó un análisis FODA, determinando las brechas y potencialidades que posee el cantón en la actualidad, además se estructuró un plan estratégico, se propone una línea base que le permita a la ciudad convertirse en un destino turístico inteligente, para este diagnóstico es importante la implementación de los 4 ejes fundamentales como estándares de DTI como parte del plan estratégico propuesto. Si se realiza un correcto cumplimiento del mismo la localidad podría denominarse como un DTI.

The tourism sector is one of those that most contributes to the development of the Quevedo canton as it is a town with numerous tourist attractions, the same ones that contribute mainly to economic, tourist and social development, today there is an evident lack of duty in the preparation of strategic projects that help promote tourism in the Quevedo canton located in the Los Ríos province. The main objective of this research is to implement a diagnosis in order to analyze the possibility that the city of Quevedo has to be considered as an Intelligent Tourist Destination (DTI), which during the development of the investigation will be called DTI, in order to further study In the background each of the strengths, opportunities, threats and weaknesses, a SWOT analysis was implemented, determining the gaps and potential that the canton currently has, a strategic plan was also structured, a baseline is proposed that allows the city to become In a smart tourist destination, for this diagnosis it is important to implement the 4 fundamental axes as ITD standards as part of the proposed strategic plan. If a correct fulfillment of the same is carried out, the locality could be denominated as a DTI.
