Meeting the nutritional needs of smaller and larger species is a challenge in times of scarcity due to the little space destined for planting and resources available to producers. The hydroponic system optimizes space and favors nutritional quality, however, the production of biomass in high seed densities in reduced land spaces is unknown. The objective of this research was: To determine the forage biomass production in INIAP H-551 hybrid corn during the dry season. INIAP H-551 hybrid corn was evaluated in different amounts of seeds per m2 (300 g, 400 g and 500 g), with two harvest ages (15 and 21 days). A BCA was established with factorial arrangement; The research consisted of two phases: the first was carried out at the Finca Machete and Garabato and the second, in the bromatology and rumiology laboratory of the UTEQ. The highest height with 300 g / m2 * 15 days obtained 68.05 cm, the presence or absence of damage caused by the fall armyworm and the biomass production in green matter did not present statistical differences, however, the latter with 500 g / m2 * 15 days obtained 43470.00 kg / ha; the dry biomass production reached with 300 g / m2 * 21 days a yield of 4358.13 kg / ha; the lowest percentage of moisture and inorganic matter was obtained at 21 days with 88.72 and 18.88 respectively, the highest percentage of dry matter and organic matter was 11.28 and 81.12 at 21 days in order, the highest crude protein obtained at 15 days 16.93%, the crude fiber and crude energy did not present statistical differences.
