Abstract
La Avicultura es una rama zootécnica que se encarga de la cría y mejora de las explotaciones de aves domésticas aprovechando al máximo sus productos. El uso excesivo de antibióticos como promotores de crecimiento ha generado preocupaciones por la resistencia y desarrollo a resistencias microbianas y el consumo de carne contaminada en humanos. La industria avícola investiga nuevas alternativas y/o suplementos de bajos costos que promuevan el incremento de peso para incorporar en la nutrición y promotores naturales para mejorar la salud y respuesta inmunitaria.
Description
Poultry farming is a zootechnical branch that is responsible for the breeding and improvement of domestic poultry farms, making the most of their products. The excessive use of antibiotics as growth promoters has raised concerns about resistance and development of microbial resistance and the consumption of contaminated meat in humans. The poultry industry investigates new alternatives and/or low-cost supplements that promote weight gain to incorporate into nutrition and natural promoters to improve health and immune response.
