Abstract
El maíz (Zea mays L.) es una planta ampliamente cultivada a nivel mundial, y como la mayoría de cultivos demanda de fertilizantes para aumentar su rendimiento. Sin embargo, los costos de los fertilizantes nitrogenados han aumentado significativamente. Azospirillum spp. es una bacteria que puede fijar nitrógeno y promover el crecimiento de las plantas. El presente estudio se enfocó en evaluar Azospirillum spp., como promotora de crecimiento y su actividad fijadora de nitrógeno en el cultivo de maíz (Zea mays L.).
Description
Corn (Zea mays L.) is a widely cultivated plant worldwide, and like any crop, it requires synthetic fertilizers to increase its yield. However, nitrogen fertilizer costs have increased in recent years. Azospirillum spp. It is a bacterium that can fix nitrogen and promote plant growth. The study focused on evaluate Azospirillum spp., as a growth promoter and its nitrogen fixing activity in corn (Zea mays L.) cultivation.
