Resumen
Plantaciones experimentales de Schizolobium parahybum (pachaco) en el Trópico Húmedo Ecuatoriano están siendo afectadas por una enfermedad de “decaimiento”, con sintomatología distinta a la de “marchitez vascular y pudrición de fuste”, sin que se hasta el momento se conozca su etiología.

Experimental plantations of Schizolobium parahybum (pachaco) in the Ecuadorian Humid Tropics are being affected by a "decay" disease, with symptoms other than "vascular wilt and stem rot", without its etiology being known so far. In the present investigation, it was proposed to know the incidence, severity, and describe the symptomatology of the disease and identify the morphologically phytopathogenic fungi associated with diseased trees, and test their pathogenicity in young pachaco seedlings in the nursery.
