| dc.description | This research was conducted in the native forest of the Yakusinchis reserve of the La Maná canton, province of Cotopaxi, with an area of 110 ha. The objectives of the research were to evaluate the floristic composition and structure of the Yakusinchis reserve forest. Two plots of 500 m² (50 m x 10 m) were established. In each plot, trees with DAP ≥ 10 cm were registered, the common name, characteristics and height of the species were registered; And the identification was done with a specialist in the identification of forest species in the area. A total of 64 individuals, equal to or greater than 10 cm of DAP, were included in 16 families, 18 genera, 18 species, and one without identifying their family, nor their scientific name. The most representative families were: Lauraceae, Lecythidaceae and Crhysobalanaceae. The most abundant species was Hirtella sp. (Guayuso) with 12 individuals while the species with the highest dominance was Ocotea sp. (Canelo) that represented 45.20%, with more relative frequency was found the Hirtella sp. With 18.75%, with the highest Import Value Index (IVI) was the Hirtella species. Sp. With a value of 44.17%. The largest number of trees found in the medium stratum (10-20 m) with a total of 47 individuals, and the top tier (>=20) with a total of 17 individuals. The value of the Shannon index indicates that the forest contains a low diversity of species, so we concluded in this research study that the native forest is in a state of natural regeneration. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | La presente investigación se realizó en el bosque nativo de la reserva Yakusinchis del cantón La Maná, provincia de Cotopaxi, con un área de 110 ha. Los objetivos de la investigación fueron evaluar la composición florística y estructura del bosque de la reserva Yakusinchis. Se establecieron 2 parcelas de 500 m² (50 m x 10 m). En cada parcela se registró árboles con DAP ≥ 10 cm, se registró el nombre común, las características y la altura de las especies; y la identificación se la realizo con un especialista en identificación de especies forestales de la zona. Se reportó un total de 64 individuos iguales o mayores a 10 cm de DAP, comprendidos en 16 familias, 18 géneros, 18 especies, y una sin identificar su familia, ni su nombre científico. Las familias más representativas fueron: Lauraceae, Lecythidaceae y Crhysobalanaceae. La especie más abundante fue Hirtella sp. (guayuso) con 12 individuos mientras que la especie con mayor dominancia fue Ocotea sp. (canelo) que representó el 45,20 %, con mayor frecuencia relativa se encontró la especie Hirtella sp. con un 18,75%, con mayor Índice de Valor de Importancia (IVI) fue la especie Hirtell. sp. con un valor de 44,17 %. La mayor cantidad de árboles se encontraron dentro del estrato medio (10-20 m) con un total de 47 individuos, y el estrato superior (≥ 20) con un total de 17 individuos. El valor del índice de Shannon indica que el bosque contiene una baja diversidad de especies, por lo que concluimos en este estudio de investigación que el bosque nativo se encuentra en estado de regeneración natural. | es_ES |
