Detección de vibrios patógenos en bocachico (Ichthyoelephas Humeralis) en los Ríos Mocache y Vinces, Ecuador.

| dc.description | The present investigation aimed to determine the presence of pathogenic bacteria of the genus Vibrio spp. in bocachico (Ichthyoelephas humeralis) in the Mocache and Vinces rivers in the Los Ríos province. The microbiological and molecular experiments were carried out in the microbiology and molecular biology laboratory of the La María campus of the Quevedo State Technical University. The fish were obtained directly from the fishermen, 60 organisms for each river. Morphometric analysis (LT and PT) and biological (IGS, IHS and FC) were performed on the sampled fish, in addition to microbiological isolation and molecular analysis. The results obtained show that the bocachico is one of the species with the highest consumption in areas near the Mocache and Vinces rivers, which was corroborated through a survey where 47 and 43% of the individuals surveyed preferred to consume bocachico. The morphometric analysis indicated that the Mocache river fish have higher values regarding total length (TL) 23.91 ± 3.14 cm total weight (PT) 186.44 ± 81.21 g, as well as the highest values of the biological indices: IHS 7.90 ± 7.70; the IGS of 1.28 ± 0.28 and FC of 0.81 ± 0.51. Microbiologically, the bocachico isolates from both the Vinces and Mocache rivers did not show the existence of V. cholera and V. parahaemolyticus, however, the molecular analysis identified us that these isolated bacteria were Plesiomonas sp. and Shewanella sp. with a genetic identity percentage of 97.32% and 99.79%. | dc.description.abstract | La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la presencia de bacterias patógenas del género Vibrio spp. en bocachico (Ichthyoelephas humeralis) en las zonas del rio Mocache y Vinces en la provincia de Los Ríos. Los experimentos tanto microbiológicos como molecular se realizó en el laboratorio de microbiología y biología molecular del campus La María de la Universidad Técnica estatal de Quevedo. Los peces se obtuvieron directamente con los pescadores, 60 organismos por cada rio. De los peces muestreados, se realizó análisis morfométrico (LT y PT) y biológico (IGS, IHS y FC) Además de, un aislamiento microbiológico y análisis molecular. Los resultados obtenidos ponen en evidencia que el bocachico es una de las especies de mayor consumo en zonas aledañas a los ríos Mocache y Vinces, lo cual, fue corroborado por medio de una encuesta donde el 47 y 43 % de los individuos encuestado preferían consumir bocachico. El análisis morfométrico indicó que los peces del río Mocache tienen mayores valores referente a longitud total (LT) 23.91 ± 3.14 cm peso total (PT) 186.44 ± 81.21 g, así como los mayores valores de los índices biológicos: IHS 7.90 ± 7.70; el IGS de 1.28 ± 0.28 y FC de 0.81 ± 0.51. Microbiológicamente, los aislamientos de bocachico tanto del rio Vinces como Mocache, no mostraron la existencia de V. cholera y V. parahaemolyticus, sin embargo, el análisis molecular nos identificó que estas bacterias aisladas eran Plesiomonas sp. y Shewanella sp. con un porcentaje de identidad genética del 97.32% y 99.79%. Concluyendo que esta investigación tiene importancia en el origen patológico de las bacterias analizadas mismas que pueden poner en riesgo a la salud humana.
