Desechos sólidos hospitalarios y su incidencia en el personal de salud de la ciudad de Cañar. Propuesta de disminución de riesgos.

| dc.description | The present investigation work tries on the nexuses and interrelations between the handling of the Hospital Solid Residuals and the health of the working personal in health centers of the city of Cañar, county of the same name, as variables of the study. When characterizing the RSH, the following order was determined for the generation of the same ones: Not dangerous (58%), Infectious (25%), conquered Medications (9%) and short piercings (8%). As indicators of the independent variable (quality of the handling of the RSH) they were used the separation, the quality of the containers, the labeled of containers, the quality of the container transfer, the quality of the accumulation, the quality of the disinfection treatment and the execution of the security norms in the RSH handling. As indicators of the dependent variable, the personnel's health that offers the services, indicators were used as the presence and frequency of illnesses and wounded, the duration of the illnesses or cure of wounded and the costs incurred in the cure of illnesses or wounded, all associated to the RSH handling. When studying the relationship among the two variables it was accepted, with 97,5% of trust, the hypothesis that "The environmental handling of the hospital solid waste affects negatively to the health of the giving service in the city of Cañar". A proposal of Plan of Handling of the RSH was elaborated for Cane plantation that has elements in its Plan of Work as RSH Separation, Storage, Gathering, Storage and Transport inside the hospital and, Security, Information and Training of the Personnel. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | El presente trabajo de investigación trata sobre los nexos e interrelaciones entre el manejo de los Residuos Sólidos Hospitalarios y la salud del personal nosocomio de la ciudad de Cañar, provincia del mismo nombre, como variables del estudio. Al caracterizar los RSH, se determinó el siguiente orden para la generación de los mismos: No peligrosos (58%), Infecciosos (25%), Medicamentos vencidos (9%) y Cortopunzantes (8%). Como indicadores de la variable independiente (calidad del manejo de los RSH) se emplearon la separación, la calidad de los envases, el etiquetado de los envases, la calidad del traslado de los envases, la calidad de la acumulación, la calidad del tratamiento de desinfección y el cumplimiento de las normas de seguridad en el manejo de los RSH. Como indicadores de la variable dependiente, la salud del personal que ofrece los servicios, se utilizaron indicadores como la presencia y frecuencia de enfermedades y heridas, la duración de las enfermedades o curación de heridas y los costos incurridos en la curación de enfermedades o heridas, todos asociados al manejo de los RSH. Al estudiar la relación entre las dos variables se aceptó, con un 97,5% de confianza, la hipótesis de que “El manejo ambiental de los desechos sólidos hospitalarios afecta negativamente a la salud del personal nosocomio en la ciudad de Cañar”. Se elaboró una propuesta de Plan de Manejo de los RSH para Cañar, que cuenta con elementos en su Plan de Trabajo como Separación de los RSH, Almacenamiento, Recolección, Transporte , intrahospitalario, Almacenamiento intrahospitalario y Seguridad e Información y Capacitación del Personal. | es_ES |
