| dc.description | Insecurity in the Quevedo canton is a social problem marked by the increase in crime, violence and the perception of insecurity, affecting the economic development and quality of life of citizens. This research was developed in the Quevedo canton, Los Ríos Province. The objective was to analyze social insecurity and its socioeconomic impact on citizens. For the development of the theoretical framework of the research, conceptual, theoretical and legal foundations were included. The research methodology used was exploratory, descriptive, and field, the methods used were inductive, deductive, analytical and statistical. Interviews were conducted with the head of the Community Surveillance Unit of the Quevedo District and the mayor of the city of Quevedo, and 383 inhabitants of the city were surveyed. The information collected was tabulated using the SPSS V26 program. The results obtained from the survey of those surveyed showed that the perception of insecurity in the Quevedo canton is 82.51%, where crime, violent deaths, extortion generate unemployment, closure of commercial premises and poverty. | |
| dc.description.abstract | La inseguridad en el cantón Quevedo, es un problema social marcado por el incremento de la delincuencia, la violencia y la percepción de inseguridad, afectando el desarrollo económico y calidad de vida de los ciudadanos. La presente investigación se desarrolló en el cantón Quevedo, Provincia de Los Ríos. El objetivo fue analizar la inseguridad social y su repercusión socioeconómica de la ciudadanía. Para el desarrollo del marco teórico de la investigación, se incluyeron fundamentación conceptual, teórica y legal. La metodología de la investigación utilizada fue tipo exploratoria, descriptiva, y de campo, los métodos utilizados el inductivo, deductivo, analítico y estadístico. Se aplicaron entrevistas dirigidas al jefe de la Unidad de Vigilancia Comunitaria de Distrito Quevedo y al alcalde de la ciudad de Quevedo, se encuestó a 383 habitantes de la ciudad. La información recolectada se tabuló mediante el programa SPSS V26. Los resultados obtenidos de la investigación de los encuestados evidenciaron que la percepción de inseguridad en el cantón Quevedo es del 82.51%, donde la delincuencia, muertes violentas, extorsiones generan desempleo, cierre de locales comerciales y pobreza. | |
