Abstract
El Análisis de las estrategias financieras de corto plazo empleadas en la compañía William Fong S. A WFong. Quevedo, durante el año 2010, se realizó en la ciudad de Quevedo, provincia de Los Ríos, Ecuador, durante el año 2010. La investigación tuvo como objetivo principal analizar las estrategias financieras, de corto plazo, aplicadas en esa empresa.
En el Capítulo 1 se presenta la introducción, se plantean los objetivos generales y específicos de la investigación, se analiza la problematización de la investigación y puntualiza el planteamiento, la formulación, el diagnóstico y la sistematización del problema principal: ¿La identificación precisa de las estrategias financieras de corto plazo empleadas por la compañía William Fong S.A WFong, durante el año 2010, permitirá el desarrollo económico y financiero continuo de la empresa?, se justifica la realización de la investigación y se propone su hipótesis general: “El acertado desempeño de la gerencia de la compañía William Fong S.A WFong, de Quevedo, en el año 2010, fue el resultado de las estrategias financieras empleadas.”
El Capítulo 2 contiene el marco teórico de la investigación. En él se consignan conceptos básicos relativos las estrategias financieras, de corto plazo, su marco teórico y su marco conceptual. En el capítulo 3 se describen la metodología de la investigación que se emplearon en la investigación de campo, que se empleó para determinar la situación externa o el impacto de las estrategias financieras, de corto plazo, sobre el mercado ferretero. Aquí se incluye también el cálculo del tamaño de la muestra, la distribución de la muestra y la ruta muestral.
El capítulo 4 recoge los resultados de la investigación, resumidos en cuadros y gráficos, cada uno con sus respectivos análisis. En ellos resalta el estudio de la situación interna, externa o de mercado y el análisis de las estrategias financieras, de corto plazo, empleadas por la empresa.
En el Capítulo 5 se presentan las principales conclusiones de la investigación de mercado; La compañía emplea tecnología computarizada para sus procesos; Las estrategias de la compañía William Fong S.A tienen un impacto medio (41%) sobre el mercado ferretero de Quevedo; Los criterios financieros en los que se basa la gerencia de la compañía WFong para la toma de decisiones financieras referentes a la gestión del efectivo son especialmente, el ciclo de caja y/o la rotación de caja y el ciclo y o la rotación de los cobros; Las estrategias financieras sobre el capital de trabajo de la empresa son de tipo intermedia; El pasivo circulante de la empresa de la empresa WFong, se lo maneja, principalmente, con la estrategia del ciclo de pagos.; Para la toma de decisiones sobre el efectivo de la empresa WFong, se usan instrumentos como el presupuesto de caja.
En el Capítulo 6 se recogen las principales recomendaciones: Las estrategias financieras podrían tener un impacto más alto sobre el mercado ferretero de Quevedo, por medio de la implantación de una campaña publicitaria agresiva; La gerencia debería emplear herramientas técnicas, como la matriz FODA, como base para realizar la planificación financiera de la empresa; En el manejo del pasivo circulante de la empresa se podría acudir al financiamiento bancario para aprovechar el descuento por pronto pago; Para la toma de decisiones sobre el manejo del efectivo de la empresa WFong, se deberían emplear, a más del presupuesto de caja, otros instrumentos tales como las proyecciones de ventas y la matriz BCG (Boston Consulting Group).

The analysis of short-term financial strategies employed in the company William S. Fong A WFong. Quevedo, in 2010, was held in the city of Quevedo, province of Los Ríos, Ecuador, in 2010. The research aimed to analyze main short-term, financial strategies, applied in the enterprise.
The Chapter 2 contain the theoretical mark of the investigation. In him relative basic concepts the financial strategies are consigned, of short term, their theoretical mark and their conceptual mark. In the chapter 3 are described the methodology of the investigation that you/they were used in the field investigation that was used to determine the external situation or the impact of the financial strategies, of short term, on the market ferretero. In the Chapter 6 the main recommendations are picked up: The financial strategies could have a higher impact on the market ferretero of Quevedo, by means of the installation of an aggressive advertising campaign; The management should use technical tools, as the main FODA, like base to carry out the financial planning of the company; In the circulating handling of the passive one of the company one could go to the bank financing to take advantage of the discount for soon payment; For the taking of decisions on the handling of the cash of the company WFong, they should be used, to more than the box budget, other such instruments as the projections of sales and the main BCG (Boston Consulting Group).
