| dc.description | The objective of this present project is to characterize the agroforestry systems of the traditional farm of the El Zapallo enclosure, belonging to the Quevedo canton, Los Ríos province, four agroforestry systems were found in the evaluated farm, most of the area of the farm is destined For value trees associated with crops, qualitative and quantitative data such as common name, diameter and height were also recorded to determine the vertical structure, horizontal structure and diversity of the species. For the analysis of floristic diversity, the parameters of abundance, frequency, dominance and the index of value of ecological importance "IVI" were also applied, the Shannon and Simpson indices were also applied. A total of 159 individuals distributed in 28 species were inventoried, being Tectona grandis L.f. the most abundant, of which they were and grouped in 20 families in which Lamiaceae was the most abundant. The species with the highest percentage of the Index of value of ecological importance was Tectona grandis L.f. (263.76%); The Shannon index was relatively low for all agroforestry systems, but among these the highest value was for Trees of value associated with crops (SAF 1), while the Simpson index for agroforestry systems showed that the highest dominance was for the species Tectona grandis Lf living fences (SAF 4). | dc.description.abstract | Este presente proyecto posee como objetivo caracterizar los sistemas agroforestales de la finca tradicional del recinto El Zapallo, perteneciente al cantón Quevedo, provincia de Los Ríos, se encontraron cuatro sistemas agroforestales en la finca evaluada, la mayor parte de la superficie de la finca está destinada para Árboles de valor asociados a cultivos, también se registraron datos cualitativos y cuantitativos como nombre común, diámetro y altura para la determinación de la estructura vertical, estructura horizontal y diversidad de las especies. Para el análisis de la diversidad florística se utilizaron los parámetros de abundancia, frecuencia, dominancia y el índice de valor de importancia ecológica “IVI” igualmente se aplicaron los índices de Shannon y Simpson. Se inventariaron un total de 159 individuos distribuidos en 28 especies siendo Tectona grandis L.f. la de mayor abundancia, de las cuales estuvieron y agrupadas en 20 familias en las que Lamiaceae fue la más abundante. La especie con mayor porcentaje de Índice de valor de importancia ecológica fue Tectona grandis L.f. (263,76%); el índice de Shannon estuvo relativamente bajo para todos los sistemas agroforestales, pero entre estos el valor más alto fue para Árboles de valor asociados a cultivos (SAF 1), mientras que el índice de Simpson realizado a los sistemas agroforestales mostró que la mayor dominancia fue para la especie Tectona grandis L.f cercas vivas (SAF 4).
