| dc.description | The forest species T. grandis is widely used commercially for its physical and mechanical characteristics and for having a high economic value, however there is a high deficit in the knowledge of the volumetric yield produced by these plantations, which is why an evaluation of the increase was carried out annual mean of T. grandis, which is 21 years old and has a forest cover area equivalent to 0.66 ha. The present investigation was carried out in the experimental area located within the facilities of the Educational Unit September 26, of the Balzar canton. The objective was to determine the mean annual increase (AMI) of T. grandis L.f. of five sources of seed under the variables diameter, total height and commercial, a completely randomized design with five treatments and three repetitions was used. This test consisted of 15 experimental units (square plots of 400 m2). The results obtained with respect to the variables showed that the DAP (cm) did not present significant statistical differences between treatments, therefore the Pilangosta Broad Leaf Guanacaste Lot 2 provenance obtained the highest value with (mean = 22,94 cm), for the total height (m) the Santa Cruz Guanacaste Lot 059/966 provenance with (mean = 18, 56 m), for the commercial height (m) the provenance Pilangosta Broad Leaf Guanacaste Lot 2 with (means = 8,12 m), for the basal area the provenance Pilangosta Broad Leaf Guanacaste Lot 2 with (means = 0,04 m2 ) , for the total volume (m3 ) the Pilangosta Broad Leaf Guanacaste Lot 2 source with (means = 0,54 m3 ), for the commercial volume (m3 ) the Pilangosta Broad Leaf Guanacaste Lot 2 source with (means = 0.25 m3 ) . The highest mean annual increase (IMA) for the DAP (cm) did not present statistically significant differences between the treatments, the highest values were associated with the provenances of Pilangosta Leaf Ancha Guanacaste Lot 2 with (mean = 1,09 cm), for the total height (m) the provenance of Santa Cruz Guanacaste Lot 059/966 with (mean = 0,91 m), for the total height (m), the provenance of Santa Cruz Guanacaste Lot 059/966 with (mean = 0,39 m), for the volume of the basal area per hectare, the provenance of Pilangosta Hoja Ancha Guanacaste Lot 2 with (mean = 10,71 m2 ), for the total volume per hectare, the provenance of Pilangosta Hoja Ancha Guanacaste Lot 2 with (mean = 135,24 m3 ), for the commercial volume per hectare the origin of Pilangosta Hoja Ancha Guanacaste Lot 2 with (mean = 62,68 m3 ). | dc.description.abstract | La especie forestal T. grandis es muy utilizada comercialmente por sus características físicas y mecánicas y por tener un alto valor económico, sin embargo existe un alto déficit en el conocimiento del rendimiento volumétrico que producen estas plantaciones es por eso que se realizó una evaluación del incremento medio anual de T. grandis la misma que cuenta con 21 años de edad y un área de cobertura forestal equivalente a 0,66 ha. La presente investigación se efectuó en el área experimental ubicada dentro de los predios de la Unidad Educativa 26 de Septiembre, del cantón Balzar. El objetivo fue determinar el incremento medio anual (IMA) de T. grandis L.f. proveniente de cinco fuentes semilleras bajo las variables diámetro, altura total y comercial, se utilizó un diseño completamente al azar con cinco tratamientos y tres repeticiones. Este ensayo estuvo formado por 15 unidades experimentales (parcelas cuadradas de 400 m2 ). Los resultados obtenidos en cuanto a las variables demostraron que el DAP (cm) no presentó diferencias estadísticas significativas entre los tratamientos, por lo tanto la procedencia Pilangosta Hoja Ancha Guanacaste Lote 2 obtuvo el mayor promedio con (media=22,94 cm), para la altura total (m) la procedencia Santa Cruz Guanacaste Lote 059/966 con (media=18,56 m), para la altura comercial (m) la procedencia Pilangosta Hoja Ancha Guanacaste Lote 2 con (media= 8,12 m), para el área basal la procedencia Pilangosta Hoja Ancha Guanacaste Lote 2 con (media= 0,04 m2 ), para el volumen total (m3 ) la procedencia Pilangosta Hoja Ancha Guanacaste Lote 2 con (media= 0,54 m3 ), para el volumen comercial (m3 ) la procedencia Pilangosta Hoja Ancha Guanacaste Lote 2 con (media= 0,25 m3 ). El mayor incremento medio anual (IMA) para el DAP (cm) no presentó diferencias estadísticas significativas entre los tratamientos los valores más altos estuvieron asociados a las procedencias de Pilangosta Hoja Ancha Guanacaste Lote 2 con (media= 1,09 cm), para la altura total (m) la procedencia de Santa Cruz Guanacaste Lote 059/966 con (media= 0,91 m), para la altura comercial (m), la procedencia de Santa Cruz Guanacaste Lote 059/966 con (media= 0,39 m), para el volumen del área basal por hectárea, la procedencia de Pilangosta Hoja Ancha Guanacaste Lote 2 con (media= 10,71 m2 ), para el volumen total por hectárea, la procedencia de Pilangosta Hoja Ancha Guanacaste Lote 2 con (media= 135,24 m3 ), para el volumen comercial por hectárea la procedencia de Pilangosta Hoja Ancha Guanacaste Lote 2 con (media= 62,68 m3 ).
