Abstract
La planta de aguacate (Persea americana) es un árbol del grupo de las angiospermas. Actualmente, el crecimiento económico del aguacate está vigente para su uso alimenticio. La descripción morfológica del aguacate permite conocer las variables deseadas en estudios fitogenéticos para incrementar la producción y reducir enfermedades. Desde este contexto, el siguiente estudio de investigación tuvo como propósito una caracterización morfológica del aguacate (Persea americana) de las accesiones del centro de investigación EET-Pichilingue. Para el siguiente trabajo, se aplicó un estudio observativo, descriptivo e inductivo, donde se evaluaron 14 caracteres cuantitativos y 24 cualitativos de las 33 accesiones de aguacate. Los datos cualitativos y cuantitativos fueron caracterizado mediante una matriz binaria, donde se realizaron las siguientes actividades: determinación de la variabilidad genética, análisis discriminante de los caracteres, matriz de similitud y distancia (Euclidea), la estructura taxonómica y fonograma mediante el algoritmo de Ward. Se usó el programa estadístico INFOSTAT 2020. Dentro de los resultados, el análisis de las características que presentaron una mayor variabilidad genética está: el n.º flores por inflorescencia (47,75%) y peso de la semilla (29,58%). El valor discriminante para variable cuantitativa con el valor más alto corresponde al de longitud de lámina foliar del grupo 4 con 28,06 cm y dentro de la variable cualitativa, forma de la semilla. En el fonograma, las agrupaciones entre las accesiones de Persea americana, muestran la relación de la similitud entre los 4 grupos obtenidos de las accesiones con un coeficiente cofenetico de 0,92. Se concluye, las variables cuantitativas con mayor valor discriminantes fueron: ancho lámina foliar, longitud de lámina foliar y diámetro de la semilla y variables cualitativas los valores discriminantes fueron: forma de la semilla, árbol, fruto y hoja. Se determinó que la pulpa del fruto es una característica deseable para los programas de fitomejoramiento.
Description
The avocado plant (Persea americana) is a tree from the angiosperm group. Currently, the economic growth of avocado is in force for its food use. The morphological description of the avocado allows knowing the desired variables in phytogenetic studies to increase production and reduce diseases. From this context, the following research study has as its purpose a morphological characterization of the avocado (Persea americana) from the accessions of the EET - Pichilingue research center. For the following work, an observational, descriptive and inductive study was applied Qualitative and quantitative data were characterized using a binary matrix, where the following activities were carried out: determination of genetic variability, discriminant analysis of characters, similarity and distance matrix (Euclidea), taxonomic structure and phenogram using Ward's algorithm. The statistical program INFOSTAT 2020e was used. Among the results, the analysis of the characteristics that presented a greater genetic variability are: the number of flowers per inflorescence (47.75%) and seed weight (29.58%). The discriminant value for quantitative variable with the highest value corresponds to the leaf blade length of group 4 with 28.06 cm and within the qualitative variable, seed shape. In the phonogram, the groupings between the (Persea americana) accessions show the relationship of the similarity between the 4 groups obtained from the accessions with a cophenetic coefficient of 0.92. It is concluded that the quantitative variables with the highest discriminant value were: leaf blade width, leaf blade length and seed diameter and qualitative variables the discriminant values were: seed shape, tree, fruit and leaf. Fruit pulp was found to be a desirable trait for breeding programs.
