Abstract
Esta investigación se realizó en el sitio denominado Escuela Manabí del Cantón Pichincha de la Provincia de Manabí, teniendo como objetivo general: Elaborar el Estudio de Factibilidad de una plantación de Balsa en la Hda. Zambrano en el Cantón Pichincha Provincia de Manabí año 2009; y los específicos a) Realizar el estudio de mercado para determinar la oferta, demanda y comercialización de la balsa en el Cantón Pichincha, b)Determinar la factibilidad económica y financiera de la inversión, aplicando el VAN (valor actual neto) y el TIR (tasa interna de retorno) para demostrar si los rubros actuales permitirán alcanzar rentabilidad en el futuro y el tercero, c) Mediante el punto de equilibrio evaluar la inversión y el financiamiento para determinar el nivel óptimo de la plantación de Balsa. Sujetos a la hipótesis: La realización del Estudio de Factibilidad de una plantación de Balsa en la Hda. Zambrano en el Cantón Pichincha Provincia de Manabí año 2009, nos permitirá demostrar la rentabilidad en plantaciones tecnificadas de esta madera.
La inversión total del proyecto asciende a un gran total de $94,100.00 USD. La producción de las 10 Hectáreas en los cinco años será de 63.000 pies cúbicos; obteniendo ingresos totales de $ 328,861.50 USD y una utilidad neta de 94.819,57 USD. Estableciendo el Valor actual neto (VAN) 110.639,68 USD con una tasa de interés del 10.21% y la Tasa Interna de Retorno (TIR) es de 39,2% consiguiendo así una Relación Beneficio costo de 2.30 dólares.
El punto de equilibrio en unidades a producir proyectado es de $ 6,385.07 por hectárea con la finalidad de recuperar la inversión total de proyecto.
Cabe señalar que esta Hda, y por ende el proyecto estará asesorada por los Ingenieros del Consejo Provincial de Manabí que es una institución pública con un objetivo que es el de reforestar la Provincia la cual capacito un grupo de ingenieros y a la vez creó un departamento técnico el cual su función es de instruir y asesorar en diferentes tipos o especies de maderas de acuerdo a la zona en la que se encuentren los propietarios de los terrenos

This research work was conducted at the place called Canton School Manabí Pichincha province of Manabí, with the general goal: Prepare the Feasibility Study Balsa plantation in Hda. Zambrano in the Manabí Province Pichincha Canton 2009; and specific) Conduct market research to determine the demand, supply and marketing of the raft in Canton Pichincha, b) Determine the economic and financial feasibility of investment, applying NPV (net present value) and IRR (internal rate of return) to show whether the current items will achieve profitability in the future and the third, c) By equilibrium point evaluating the investment and financing to determine the optimal level Balsa plantation. Subject to the hypothesis: The completion of the Feasibility Study Balsa plantation in Hda. Zambrano in the Manabí Province Pichincha Canton in 2009, will allow us to demonstrate the profitability of this timber plantations Technified.
The total investment amounts to a grand total of $ 94,100.00 USD. The production of 10 hectares within five years will be of 63,000 cubic feet, getting revenue totaling $ 328,861.50 USD and a net profit of $ 94,819.57. Setting the net present value (NPV) of $ 110,639.68 with an interest rate of 10.21% and the Internal Rate of Return (IRR) is 39.2%, thus achieving cost-benefit ratio of $ 2.30.

Note that this Hda, and therefore the project will be advised by the engineers of the Provincial Council of Manabí is a public institution with a goal which is to reforest the province which enables a group of engineers and simultaneously created a technical department which its function is to instruct and advise on different types or species of wood according to the area where they are the landowners
