Abstract
El cultivo de jengibre es el cultivo no tradicional de mayor importancia en Ecuador, el mismo que con el tiempo se ha ido desarrollando en zonas agrícolas, sin embargo, por la explotación convencional que se le da, es decir a base de fertilización sintética, se hace evidente la necesidad de disminuir su uso. Por lo anterior, la presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar los efectos de los abonos orgánicos en el comportamiento agronómico y rendimiento en rizoma del cultivo de jengibre (Zengiber officinale). El ensayo se llevó a cabo en la finca de propiedad del Señor César González Delgado, ubicado en el Sector “Virginia 1”, cantón Quevedo, provincia de Los Ríos. Se utilizó un diseño de bloques completos al azar con cinco tratamientos en cuatro repeticiones. Los tratamientos evaluaron fueron: Nutri full, Fungi organ, Humus Ca-B, Seaweed extract y Cytokin (Testigo). Los resultados demostraron que con la aplicación de Humus Ca-B se obtuvo mayor emergencia a los 30, 40 y 50 días con 31.0, 40.0 y 57.0 %, mientras que la brotación fue mayor con Seaweed extract con 17.0 y 19.3 brotes a los 150 y 190 días después de la siembra, respectivamente. Con la utilización de Seaweed extract, las características de ancho y peso del rizoma fueron mejores que, con los otros abonos orgánicos en estudio, con 18.8 cm y 5.8 kg, mientras que Fungi organ produjo rizomas más largos (30.6 cm), superados únicamente por Cytokin. De los abonos orgánicos estudiado, Seaweed extract permitió obtener mayor rendimiento (6081.2 kg), superado únicamente por el testigo Cytokin (11876.1 kg/ha). La aplicación de Cytokin que generó la mayor rentabilidad con 191.30%, sin embargo, en un sistema de producción orgánico Seaweed extract produjo una rentabilidad de 72.20 %.

Ginger cultivation is the most traditional non-traditional crop in Ecuador, the same that has been developed over time in agricultural areas, however, due to the conventional exploitation that is given, that is, based on synthetic fertilization, It makes clear the need to reduce its use. Therefore, the present investigation aimed to determine the effects of organic fertilizers on agronomic behavior and rhizome yield of the ginger (Zengiber officinale) crop. The trial was carried out on the property owned by Mr. César González Delgado, located in the “Virginia 1” Sector, Quevedo canton, province of Los Ríos. A randomized complete block design with five treatments in four repetitions was used. The treatments evaluated were: Nutri full, Fungi organ, Humus Ca-B, Seaweed extract and Cytokin (chemical witness). The results showed that with the application of Humus Ca-B a greater emergency was obtained at 30, 40 and 50 days with 31.0, 40.0 and 57.0%, while the sprouting was greater with Seaweed extract with 17.0 and 19.3 outbreaks at 150 and 190 days after planting, respectively. With the use of Seaweed extract, the rhizome width and weight characteristics were better than, with the other organic fertilizers under study, with 18.8 cm and 5.8 kg, while Fungi organ produced longer rhizomes (30.6 cm), surpassed only by Cytokin Of the organic fertilizers studied, Seaweed extract allowed to obtain higher yield (6081.2 kg), surpassed only by the chemical control Cytokin (11876.1 kg / ha).
