Abstract
El presente proyecto de investigación, se realizó con el objetivo de valorar el efecto de la inclusión (0; 5 y 10%), de harina de fréjol cuarentón (Phaseolus vulgaris) germinado, en los índices productivos y económicos del pollo cuello desnudo. El trabajo de campo tuvo un tiempo de duración de 63 días, ejecutado en la Finca Experimental La María, de la Universidad Técnica Estatal de Quevedo (UTEQ), ubicada en el km 7,5 de la vía Quevedo–El Empalme, perteneciente al cantón Mocache. Se aplicó un diseño de bloques completamente al azar (DBCA), con tres tratamientos y seis repeticiones. La unidad experimental estuvo conformada por cinco aves. Para establecer las diferencias entre medias de tratamientos se utilizó la prueba de Tukey (P≤0.05). Se evaluó el consumo de alimento (CA), ganancia de peso (GP), índice de conversión alimenticia (ICA), durante las etapas de crecimiento y engorde. Además, el rendimiento a la canal (RC) y la Rentabilidad, a través de la Relación Beneficio Costo. El CA, y el ICA, durante las etapas de crecimiento y engorde no se vieron afectados (P>0.05) por los niveles de harina de frejol cuarentón germinado, de igual manera el RC. La mayor GP (P<0.05) la registraron los tratamientos con 0 y 5% de harina de frejol (42,12 y 39,84 g. animal-1 dia-1, en su orden). Además estos tratamientos registraron la mayor rentabilidad (55,73 y 56,44 %).
Description
The present research project was carried out with the objective of evaluating the effect of the inclusion of germinated forty - year - old bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) on the productive and economic indexes of the naked - collar chicken (0, 5 and 10%). The field work had a duration of 63 days, executed at the Experimental La María Farm, Quevedo State Technical University (UTEQ), located at km 7.5 of the road Quevedo-El Empalme, belonging to the canton Mocache. A completely randomized block design (DBCA) was applied, with three treatments and six replicates. The experimental unit consisted of five birds. Tukey's test (P≤0.05) was used to establish differences between means of treatments. Food consumption (CA), weight gain (GP), feed conversion index (ICA), during the growth and fattening stages were evaluated. In addition, the performance to the channel (RC) and the Profitability, through the Cost Benefit Ratio. During the growth and fattening stages, CA, and ICA were not affected (P> 0.05) by the levels of germinated 40-year-old flour meal, similarly to CR. The highest GP (P <0.05) was recorded on treatments with 0 and 5% of bean flour (42,12 and 39,84 g animal-1 day-1, in their order). In addition, these treatments registered the highest profitability (55.73 and 56.44%).
