Abstract
Entre las variables de mayor interés para el crecimiento y desarrollo de las especies agrícolas y forestales están la temperatura del aire y las precipitaciones. Aunque una zonificación agroclimática considera además otras variables, como las modificaciones encontradas en la temperatura del aire y las precipitaciones, lo que se manifiesta en el crecimiento y desarrollo de las plantaciones forestales. La variabilidad climática interanual, el ataque de plagas y las sequías constituyen otras variables que tienen impacto en la producción agrícola y forestal. El objetivo de la investigación fue la determinación de las condiciones agroclimáticas de la provincia Los Ríos relacionadas con los requerimientos agroclimáticos de Schizolobium parahybum (Vell.) Blake (pachaco) para identificar las áreas y períodos favorables para esta especie. Se utilizó una base de datos climáticos del INAHMI y del ClimWat de la FAO. Se realizaron análisis agroclimáticos con una representación de los resultados en forma de mapas con el software AgroclimMap, destacando el nivel de favorabilidad de la provincia Los Ríos para el crecimiento y desarrollo del pachaco. Se encontró que las condiciones de favorabilidad para la provincia, en general, están en el rango Moderadamente Favorables – Favorables, con el 11% y el 73,3% del área, respectivamente. Sólo se presentan condiciones No Favorables, con un 15,3% del área, en las estaciones referenciales Patricia Pilar, Valencia, Los Ángeles, Valencia Norte y El Copal. El percentil 25% para la suma de precipitaciones anuales indicó que la probabilidad de sequía para el pachaco es muy baja, pues incluye la categoría favorable y en el límite superior la categoría Moderadamente Favorable. En el percentil 75% se encontró que existe el riesgo de inundaciones para las estaciones al Norte, con excesos ascendentes a 687 mm. Se recomienda que se realicen estudios similares en otras provincias y que se relacionen los resultados con la productividad primaria neta que permitan realizar estimaciones de los rendimientos.

The objective of the investigation was to determine the favorable periods and the ideal areas depending on the agroclimatic conditions for the Pachaco plantations. A climatic database of the INAHMI and the ClimWat of the FAO of Los Ríos province was used. The AgroclimMap software that performs agroclimatic analyzes and presents the results in the form of maps was applied, highlighting the favorable level of the province for the growth and development of the pachaco. It was found that favorable conditions for the province, in general, are in the moderately favorable - favorable range, with 11% and 73.3% of the area, respectively. Only Non-Favorable conditions are presented, with 15.3% of the area, at the Patricia Pilar, Valencia, Los Angeles, Valencia Norte and El Copal reference stations. The 25% percentile for the sum of annual rainfall indicated that the probability of drought for the pachaco is very low, since it includes the Favorable category and in the upper limit the Moderately Favorable category. On the other hand, in the 75% percentile it was found that there is a risk of flooding for the stations to the North, with excesses ascending to 687 mm. It is recommended that similar studies be carried out in other provinces and that the results be related to the net primary productivity that allow estimates of yields.
