| dc.description | This research project is focused on the design of an agricultural machine that allows to obtain the mucilage of cocoa in an optimal and hygienic way, allowing to reach the amount of the product. The mucilage has different uses and related by-products that can be elaborated with it, such as: jellies, jams, liqueurs, juices, bioethanol, etc. Prior to the design the theoretical systems are investigated to take the alternative of optimal design, effect of the three proposed alternatives it was decided to choose the alternative C consists of a perforated rotating cylinder. This machine was designed with the help of SOLIDWORKS software, allowing to obtain drawings and appropriate dimensions for its construction. This software allowed to analyze with FEA (finite element analysis) to evaluate its deformation with the loads to which it was submitted. The manufacturing cost of the machine is approximately $ 3378,57. The design of this machine intends to open new fields in the agricultural production and to improve the income of the small farmers, taking advantage of the mucilage that is currently discarded. | dc.description.abstract | Este proyecto de investigación está enfocado al diseño de una máquina agrícola que nos permita obtener el mucílago de cacao de forma higiénica y óptima, que permita obtener el máximo del producto mencionado. El mucílago tiene diferentes usos y subproductos que se pueden elaborar con el mismo, tales como: jaleas, mermeladas, licores, jugos, bioetanol, etc. Previo al diseño se indagan los sistemas teóricos para tomar la alternativa de diseño óptima, efecto de las tres alternativas propuestas se decidió escoger la alternativa C consta de un cilindro perforado giratorio. Esta máquina se diseñó con la ayuda del software SOLIDWORKS, permitiendo obtener planos y dimensiones adecuadas para su construcción. En el mismo se pudo realizar un análisis de elementos finitos para evaluar sus deformaciones con las cargas a la que va a estar sometida. El costo de fabricación de la máquina es aproximadamente de $ 3378,57. El diseño de esta máquina pretende abrir nuevos campos en la producción agrícola y mejorar los ingresos de los pequeños agricultores, aprovechando el mucílago que actualmente se desecha.
