Abstract
La presente investigación tiene una gran importancia el estudio de la usabilidad y accesibilidad del sitio Web de la Universidad Técnica Estatal de Quevedo, Cantón Quevedo, Provincia de Los Ríos, año 2015, permite determinar los factores indispensables durante el proceso o diseño de un sitio web con el propósito que se pueda percibir, entender, navegar e interactuar.
En el diagnóstico de la problemática se identificaron diversos factores que afectan a la usabilidad y accesibilidad del sitio web, como el exceso de links, información reducida, ruido visual esto conllevo a la formulación del problema que consiste en ¿Cómo detectar las falencias de usabilidad y accesibilidad del sitio web de la Universidad Técnica Estatal de Quevedo?, esto permitió plantear el objetivo principal del estudio una evaluación de la usabilidad y accesibilidad del Sitio de la Universidad.
El direccionamiento metodológico estuvo orientado en los tipos de Investigación: De campo, Bibliográfica, en las que se utilizó las técnicas de la encuesta, y el fichaje en donde se aplicó los métodos teóricos: Inductivo - Deductivo, Analítico; y estadístico: Observación entre otros cuyo soporte es la información obtenida por medio de fuentes primarias y secundarias apoyadas en los métodos e instrumentos de la investigación.
En base a los resultados obtenidos el 48% de los estudiantes establecieron que la estructura de navegación actual genera inconvenientes en la interacción con el usuario, además según el análisis realizado con la herramienta examinator reflejo la calificación de 2.5 en la escala del 1 a 10, considerando indispensable presentar una propuesta de rediseño del sitio web de la Universidad Técnica Estatal de Quevedo con la finalidad que pueda brindar accesibilidad y usabilidad......

The present investigation have a great importance the study of the usability y accesibility of website of the State Technical University to Quevedo, Cantón Quevedo Province of Los Rios, age 2015 determines the factors indispensable during the process or desing of a website with the purpose that can perceive, understand, navigate and interact.
In the diagnostic of the problems various factors that affect the usability and accessibility of the website, as excess links, reduced information, visual noise This led to the formulation of the problem is ¿How to detect the shortcomings identified and usability accessibility of the website of the State Technical University of Quevedo?, This led to proposing the main objective of the study evaluating the usability and accessibility of the website of the University.
The methodology was aimed at addressing the types of research: From field, literature, in which the survey techniques used, and the signing where theoretical methods applied: Inductive - Deductive, Analytical; and statistical: Observation and others whose support is the information obtained through primary and secondary supported by methods and tools of research sources.
