Abstract
La presente investigación se lo realizó en el bosque húmedo tropical Payamino, ubicado en el cantón Loreto, parroquia San José de Payamino, Estación Científica Timburi-Cocha. El objetivo general de la investigación fue evaluar la composición florística y estructura del bosque húmedo tropical en el piso altitudinal de 300 - 400 ms.n.m de la parroquia San José de Payamino, el cual abarcó determinar la composición florística del bosque húmedo tropical, analizar la estructura y determinar las especies que presenten categoría de peligro, estos objetivos se los cumplieron mediante una investigación tipo diagnóstico mediante la identificación del establecimiento de los transectos. El método implementado fue descriptivo con enfoque de los objetivos en la evaluación de la composición florística y estructura presente en el bosque. La información usada en la investigación fue procedente de fuentes primarias. Se obtuvó como resultado un registro total de 272 individuos conformando 40 familias, 122 especies, la familia con mayor número de especies fue Moraceae con 12 especies (9,76 %). La abundancia a nivel de familia con mayor número de individuos es Arecaceae con 36 individuos (13,24), en especies fue Iriartea deltoidea Ruiz & Pav. con 35 individuos (12,87 %). La familia con mayor IVIF es Myristicaceae (10,39 %), el IVI en especies es Iriartea deltoidea Ruiz & Pav. (8,06 %). La estructura horizontal el intervalo con mayor número presentó 167 individuos (10 – 19,99 cm), sin embargo la estructura vertical se determinó que el estrato medio es el intervalo representativo (200 individuos; área basal de 102,11 m2; volumen 102,11 m3). Los índices de diversidad aplicados muestran una diversidad alta, Shannon –Weaver (4,281) y Simpson (0,970), el índice de similitud de Sorense presentó un porcentaje de similitud bajo. Las especies identificadas no se encuentran dentro del registro de la UICN debido a no ser evaluadas (NE).

This research was carried out in the tropical rain forest Payamino, located in San José de Payamino, Loreto, Timburi-Cocha Scientific Station. The general objective of the research was to evaluate the floristic composition and structure of the tropical humid forest in the altitudinal floor at 300 - 400 ms.n.m from San José de Payamino parish, which included determining the floristic composition of the tropical rainforest, analyzing the structure and determining the species that present a hazard category, these objectives were met through a diagnostic investigation by identifying the establishment of transects. The method implemented was descriptive with a focus on the objectives of the evaluation of the floristic composition and structure present in the forest. The information used in the investigation was from primary sources. As a result, a total record of 272 individuals was obtained, comprising 40 families, 122 species, the family with the highest number of species was Moraceae with 12 species (9.76%). The abundance at the family level with the largest number of individuals is Arecaceae with 36 individuals (13,24), in species it was Iriartea deltoidea Ruiz & Pav. with 35 individuals (12.87%). The family with the highest IVIF is Myristicaceae (10.39%), the IVI in species is Iriartea deltoidea Ruiz & Pav. (8.06%). The horizontal structure the interval with the highest number presented 167 individuals (10 - 19.99 cm), however the vertical structure was determined that the middle stratum is the representative range (200 individuals; basal area of 102.11 m2; volume 102, 11 m3). The diversity indices applied show a high diversity, Shannon –Weaver (4,281) and Simpson (0,970), the Sorense similarity index presented a low similarity percentage. The identified species are not within the IUCN registry because they are not evaluated (NE).
