Abstract
La presente investigación se llevó a cabo en la finca experimental “La Maria” en el Programa de didáctico Porcino, perteneciente a la Universidad Técnica Estatal de Quevedo (UTEQ), situado en el km 7 de la vía Quevedo – El Empalme. Se evaluó el efecto del promotor de crecimiento Flavomycin en tres niveles, con los siguientes tratamientos: (T1) sin la utilización del promotor de crecimiento; (T2) con la adición de 300 g/tonelada de alimento; (T3) con 500 g/Ton y (T4) con 700 g/Ton. Se aplicó un Diseño Completamente al Azar (DCA) con cuatro repeticiones. Las variables evaluadas fueron: ganancia de peso, consumo de alimento (Kg/día) y conversión alimenticia. Se utilizó 16 cerdos CRIOLLOS, destetados a los 28 días de edad con 6.83 ± 1.08 kg de peso.) Para la ganancia semanal y total de peso, no se encontraron diferencias estadísticas significativas (p≥0.05), el tratamiento que mayor ganancia de peso obtuvo fue el tratamiento (T0) con 12.08 Kg, mientras que el de menor ganancia de peso lo obtuvo el tratamiento (T3) con 10.13 Kg. En cuanto a lo referente a la variable consumo de alimento total y semanal no se expresó diferencia significativa (p≥0.05), entre los tratamiento en estudio, Por su contraparte si existió diferencia numérica ya que el tratamiento que menor índice obtuvo fue el T3 con 2.55 a la primera semana mientras que el tratamiento T4 con 10.02 a la sexta semana tuvo el índice más alto. Para esta variable no existió diferencia estadística significativa pero si numérica ya que el valor más favorable fue 1.82 en el T2 a la primera semana mientras que el menos favorable fue el 4.94 en el T3 en lo referente a conversión alimenticia semanal y total
