Abstract
La presente investigación se llevó a cabo en el Centro Experimental “La Playita”, de la Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi, Cantón La Maná. Ubicación geográfica WGS 84: Latitud S0° 56’ 27” Longitud W 79° 13’ 25”, altura 220 msnm. La investigación tuvo una duración de 120 días de trabajo de campo, tuvo como objetivo general determinar el comportamiento agronómico de cinco hortalizas de hojas con tres abonos orgánicos en el Centro Experimental “La Playita”, de la Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi –La Mana. Los objetivos específicos fueron: Evaluar agronómicamente cinco hortalizas de hojas con abonos orgánicos. Comparar la utilización de abonos orgánicos en la producción de hortalizas de los tratamientos en estudio. Establecer el nivel de rentabilidad de la producción orgánica de hortalizas de los tratamientos en estudio.
Las hortalizas de hojas y los abonos que se emplearon en la investigación en el centro experimental “La Playita” fueron: H1 Acelga, H2 Nabo, H3 Brócoli, H4 Col verde, H5 Col morada y Testigo. Abonos: A1 100% Humus de lombriz, A2 100% Jacinto de agua y A3 50% Humus de lombriz + 50% Jacinto de agua.
Se utilizó un Diseño de Bloques Completos al Azar (DBCA) con cinco hortalizas con tres abonos orgánicos y tres repeticiones y un testigo.
Los resultados fueron: En la última cosecha dada en el cultivo de acelga el tratamiento testigo (tecnología del agricultor) obtuvo el mayor número de hojas con 3.93 hojas; para el largo de hoja el tratamiento Acelga + Humus de lombriz + Jacinto de agua alcanzó el mayor promedio con 45.87 cm, al igual que el ancho de hoja con 13.67 cm.........................

This research was conducted at the Centre Experimental "La Playita", of the Technical University of Cotopaxi, La Maná Canton. WGS 84 geographic location: latitude S0 ° 56' 27 "Length W 79 ° 13' 25", height 220 meters above sea level. The research lasted for 120 days of field work, general objective was to determine the agronomic performance of five leafy vegetables with three organic fertilizers in the Centre Experimental "La Playita", of the Technical University of Quito - La Mana.
