Abstract
La presente investigación está orientada a promover las buenas prácticas de turismo sostenible en los hoteles de la ciudad de Quevedo con el fin de obtener importantes beneficios para el desarrollo turístico sostenible, a partir de la mejora de los recursos económicos de la ciudad y de los propietarios de establecimientos hoteleros de la misma, así también generar una contribución significante a la mitigación de daños causados por el sector turístico al ambiente y a su entorno sociocultural.
El objetivo central fue la elaboración de un plan para la implementación de buenas prácticas de turismo sostenible que servirá como guía a los establecimientos hoteleros de la ciudad de Quevedo, el mismo que se consiguió mediante la evaluación y diagnóstico del estado actual de los hoteles y la determinación de la percepción de los turistas en cuanto a las prácticas de sostenibilidad empleadas por los hoteles en su gestión, y a partir de esto se planteó una propuesta para la obtención de una certificación de turismo sostenible.
El proyecto de investigación consta de siete capítulos en los que se estudiaron distintos tópicos según la importancia que reportaran al estudio, este se limitó a la investigación de mercado en los diez hoteles de la ciudad de Quevedo.
En el capítulo uno se identificó la problemática de la aplicación de buenas prácticas y obtención de certificaciones de turismo sostenible en los hoteles de la ciudad de Quevedo, se elaboró el diagnóstico y pronóstico correspondientes, para luego plantear los objetivos del estudio y su respectiva justificación.
El capítulo dos muestra la contextualización teórica de la investigación, la misma que consta de un marco conceptual y un marco referencial, en los cuales se asentaron las bases de la presente investigación.
El capítulo tres hace una descripción de la metodología aplicada en el estudio, en la que se detallan los tipos y métodos de investigación utilizada, se exponen las fuentes de recopilación de la investigación, el diseño e instrumentos de investigación y finalmente se describen los recursos humanos y materiales que se utilizaron en el presente proyecto de investigación.En el capítulo cuatro constan los resultados obtenidos mediante este estudio y su respectiva discusión, a partir de estos se elaboraron las conclusiones y recomendaciones que la autora detalla en el capítulo cinco. Finalmente, en el capítulo seis y siete se encuentran la bibliografía y anexos correspondientes.

Description
The present investigation is oriented to promote the good practices of sustainable tourism in the hotels of the Quevedo city, with the purpose of obtaining important benefits for the sustainable tourist development, from the improvement of the economic resources of the city and of the hotel establishments, as well as to generate a significant contribution to the mitigation of damages caused by the tourism sector to the environment and it’s sociocultural environment.
The main objective was the elaboration of a plan for the implementation of good practices of sustainable tourism that will serve as a guide to the hotel establishments of the Quevedo city, the same that was achieved through the evaluation and diagnosis of the current state of the hotels and the determination of the tourists perception regarding the sustainability practices used by the hotels in their management, and from this a proposal was proposed to obtain a certification of sustainable tourism.
The research project consists of seven chapters in which different subjects were studied according to the importance they report to the study, which was limited to market research in the ten hotels in the city of Quevedo.
In chapter one, the problem of applying good practices and obtaining certifications of sustainable tourism in the hotels of the Quevedo city was identified, the corresponding diagnosis and prognosis was elaborated, and then the objectives of the study and its respective justification were raised.
Chapter two shows the theoretical contextualization of the research, which consists of a conceptual framework and a referential framework, on which the bases of the present investigation were based.
Chapter three gives a description of the methodology applied in the study, which details the types and methods of research used, exposes the sources of research collection, design and research instruments and finally describes the human resources and materials that were used in this research projec.

In chapter four the results obtained through this study and its respective discussion are recorded, based on which the conclusions and recommendations that the author details in chapter five were elaborated. Finally, in chapter six and seven are the corresponding bibliography and annexes.
