Abstract
El “caracol terrestre o africano” (Lissachatina fulica) es un molusco que se encuentra entre las 100 plagas exóticas invasoras más dañinas del mundo y presenta serias implicaciones para la agricultura, la biodiversidad y salud humana. Esta plaga es originaria del África tropical, y actualmente está extendido en Sudamérica, Islas del Pacífico, y en general, casi todas las zonas tropicales del mundo. Esta plaga es hermafrodita como la mayoría de los caracoles, crece y se reproduce a gran velocidad, y puede producir graves daños en los ecosistemas y cultivos tropicales. Su distribución en el campo agrícola, se debe principalmente a que son transportados como mascotas, maquinaria agrícola, plantas, entre otros. La introducción de esta especie de caracol es ilegal, dado a que la plaga puede convertirse en un problema para la salud humana. Se usaron atrayentes naturales de origen vegetal para la captura del caracol africano, y así bajar el índice poblacional de esta plaga. El tipo de investigación es de carácter evaluativo, registrándose 504 recuentos, que fueron analizados por medio de la estadística no paramétrica. Esta investigación se realizó en predios de la Estación Experimental Tropical Pichilingue, utilizando como atrayentes seis desechos orgánicos, (cáscaras de piña, melón, sandía, papaya, banano y hojas de lechuga), ubicados en trampas elaboradas con recipientes plásticos, utilizando en cada trampa un promedio de 200 g rodeado internamente de 200 gramos de sal gruesa (en grano). Con los tratamientos ensayados durante el tiempo de la investigación, resultó que la cáscara de piña fue el mejor atrayente para la captura del caracol africano y en segundo lugar la cáscara de papaya quedando en el último puesto las hojas de lechuga.

The African terrestrial snail" (Lissachatina fulica) it is a mollusk that is among the 100 plagues exotic more harmful investors of the world and it presents serious implications for the agriculture, the biodiversity and human health. This plague is it would originate of the tropical Africa, and at the moment it is extended in South America, Islands of the Pacific, and in general, almost all the tropical areas of the world. This plague is hermaphrodite as most of the snails, it grows and he/she at great speed reproduces, and it can produce serious damages in the ecosystems and tropical cultivations. Its distribution in the agricultural field, is owed mainly to that are transported as mascots, agricultural machinery, you plant, among others. The introduction of this snail species is illegal, given to that the plague can become a problem for the human health. The investigation bears the use of attractive natural of vegetable origin for the capture of the African snail, and this way to lower the population index of this plague. The investigation type is of character evaluative, registering 504 recounts that were analyzed by means of the non-parametric statistic. This investigation was carried predios the Station Experimental Tropical Pichilingue, out using as attractive organic waste, (it cracked of pineapple, melon, watermelon, papaya, of banana tree and lettuce leaves), located in elaborated traps of plastic recipients, using in each trap an average of 200 g, surrounded internally of 200 g of thick salt (in grain). The treatments rehearsed during the time of the investigation, were giving as a result that the attractive of pineapple shell is the best material and in second place that of papaya being in last position that of lettuce leaves.
