Abstract
La presente investigación se realizó bajo los lineamientos metodológicos y reglamentarios establecidos por la Universidad para el efecto. Es así que se realizó, una vez determinado el Tema, un análisis del problema considerando las causas y consecuencia que generan el hecho de no tener el cantón Playas un centro Gerontológico y Recreacional que brinde atención especializada a las personas adultas mayores, lo cual justificó plenamente su realización
Los objetivos formulados (general y específicos), determinaron la necesidad de proveernos de los recursos necesarios que la investigación exigía, y la hipótesis guió el proceso de investigación.
En revisión literaria, esta fue cuidadosamente seleccionada a fin de contar con suficiente información actualizada y pertinente del objeto de estudio.
En cuanto a la investigación de campo a base de encuestas y entrevistas, arrojaron una interesante información y fuente de datos en los cuales, entre otros aspectos, se realiza un diagnóstico de la situación en que viven los adultos mayores por carecer de un Centro Gerontológico ocupacional y recreativo en el cantón Playas, resultados que fueron sometidos a una objetiva discusión con el objeto de establecer sus implicaciones teóricas, y a su vez llegar a comprobar la hipótesis planteada.
Con los resultados de la investigación, donde se determina la necesidad de contar con un Centro gerontológico en este cantón, se elaboró una propuesta alternativa que justifique la necesidad de la creación de este un centro de atención a los adultos/as mayores.
Finalmente, se redactaron las conclusiones donde se determina el logro de los objetivos que nos planteamos, y las recomendaciones que ameritan al caso.
El tamaño del proyecto es el 23,27 % de la demanda para el primer año, esto es 300 personas que serán atendidas. La inversión fija de los activos fijos y diferidos asciende a la cantidad de 288.567,68 dólares. El capital de operación para los primeros tres meses, es 55.066,50 dólares. Los costos fijos $ 239.057,96 los variables 2.466,00 dólares. Para el primer año: los ingresos son 10.500,00 dólares, el Estado de Resultados es de $ (233.723,96), el Flujo de Caja generado es de (205.003,30) dólares, el nivel de Equilibrio Monetario es de 312.435,72 y la relación beneficio costo actualizado es 0,07. Description
This research was conducted under the methodological guidelines and regulations established by the University for this purpose. Thus was once given the topic, an analysis of the problem by considering the causes and consequences that failure to have the county Beaches and Recreation Gerontological center that provides specialized care for older persons, which fully justified realization.

In terms of research-based field surveys and interviews, yielded some interesting information and data source in which, among other things, it makes a diagnosis of the situation in which older adults live for lack of occupational Gerontology Center and recreational beaches in the county, results were subjected to an objective discussion with a view to establish its theoretical implications, and in turn get to test the hypothesis.
With the results of the investigation, which determines the need for a geriatric center in this county, was made an alternative proposal justifying the need for the creation of such a care center for adults / as adults.
Finally, the conclusions were drawn where it is determined to achieve the goals that we considered, and recommendations that warrant the case.
