Abstract
Description
The present investigation was carried out in the Finca of Mr. Gerardo Jácome in the Parish of San Camilo del Cantón Quevedo, province of Los Ríos, which had the objective of evaluating the effect of different concentrations of growth regulators for the propagation of the acorn (Nephelium lappaceum L.), whose purpose was to demonstrate that it has a great importance in the asexual or vegetative propagation of woody plants, using the Design Completo al Azar (DCA), with four treatments and four replications for treatments; The treatments were: T1 (2000 ppm ANA + 2000 ppm AIB), T2 (2500 ppm ANA + 2500 ppm AIB), T3 (3000 ppm ANA + 3000 ppm AIB) and a control (No hormone). At 60 days the variables were evaluated and the Tukey test was applied to determine the significant differences between the means of the treatments. In general, the best response was obtained in T1 concentration (2000 ppp ANA + 2000 ppm AIB) with a better rooting percentage of 58.75%; Number of outbreaks 1.81; Root length 2.93 cm; Weight of the root mass 2.31 g; Mortality rate of 41.25% and with 55.48% of profitability. We concluded that good results were obtained in the evaluated variables, but with results inferior to those reported by other forest researches that used the same hormones, due to the presence of fungi in the cuttings.
