Abstract
El presente trabajo investigativo se realizó en la Empresa Municipal de Agua Potable y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas para proponer un “PLAN DE MEJORAMIENTO CONTINUO SOBRE LA CALIDAD DEL SERVICIO DE AGUA POTABLE QUE BENEFICIE A LA POBLACIÓN DEL CANTÓN SANTO DOMINGO DE LOS COLORADOS”, que surgió como resultado de la tabulación de las respuestas de la población encuestada, proporcionando información clave sobre el diagnóstico de la situación real del agua en el cantón. La investigación inicia a partir de la introducción que precisó cada uno de los parámetros del agua potable a través de los objetivos, el capítulo dos se implantó el marco teórico donde describe el tema de la investigación, de acuerdo a los autores que hacen referencia al objeto de estudio, en el capítulo tres describe la metodología aplicada y cada uno de los instrumentos utilizados para el logro de los objetivos y la implementación de la propuesta, el capítulo cuatro hace referencia a la comunicación de resultado donde se evidencia a través de las encuestas aplicadas a la ciudadanía y la entrevista realizada al gerente de EPMAPA-SD sobre la problemática del agua en el cantón, seguido de la discusión en lo cual hace referencia a la confrontación de los autores respecto al tema, el capítulo cinco se presenta el Plan de Mejoramiento Continuo Sobre la Calidad del Servicio de Agua Potable que beneficie a la ciudadanía en general, presentado en directrices donde se refleja las causas que ocasionan la problemática del agua, lo efectos que provocan en la población y las accionas de mejoras en el área operativa, adicionalmente se busca robustecer el control en lo referente a la administración del agua y con ello mitigar el impacto socioeconómico en los habitantes, al verse en la necesidad de suplir de varias formas el derecho a tener el líquido vital, en el capítulo seis se muestran las conclusiones y recomendaciones del trabajo investigativo, y por último se comprobó el cumplimiento de la hipótesis donde se conoció el grado de satisfacción de la calidad del servicio de agua potable en los habitantes, con ello se demostró que incide directamente en la situación socioeconómica.

This research work was carried out in the Municipal Potable Water and Sewer Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas to propose a "CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT PLAN ON THE QUALITY OF SERVICE OF WATER THAT WORK FOR THE PEOPLE OF SANTO DOMINGO CANTON COLORADOS", which it emerged as a result of the tabulation of the responses of the surveyed population, providing key information on the diagnosis of the real water situation in the canton. The research starts from the introduction that said each of the parameters of drinking water through the objectives, chapter two the theoretical framework describing the subject of the investigation, according to the authors that reference the object is implemented study, in Chapter three describes the methodology and each of the instruments used to achieve the objectives and implementation of the proposal, Chapter Four refers to the communication of results which is evidenced by the surveys citizenship and interview the manager of EPMAPA-SD on water issues in the county, followed by discussion which refers to the confrontation of the authors on the subject, chapter five presents the Improvement Plan Continuous Quality Report Water Services that benefits the general public, presented in guidelines where the underlying causes water issues, what effects they have on the population and accionas improvement in the operational area is reflected further it seeks to strengthen control in relation to water management and thereby mitigate the economic impact on the inhabitants, to be seen in the need to fill in various ways the right to have the vital liquid, in chapter six the conclusions are shown and recommendations of the research work, and finally the compliance of the hypothesis where the degree of satisfaction of the quality of drinking water in the inhabitants, thereby demonstrated that directly affects socioeconomic status was known were found.
