Abstract
El tener acceso al internet y sus agregados se han convertido en uno de los servicios primordiales a la hora de compartir información entre usuarios, es por ello que tanto en los hogares, empresas e instituciones educativas han buscado obtener dichos beneficios mediante el uso de una red cableada o red inalámbrica. Por esta razón se realiza el siguiente proyecto de investigación mediante el estudio y análisis de la cobertura de la red WI-FI del Campus “Finca La María” de la Universidad Técnica Estatal de Quevedo e identificar los aspectos técnicos que intervienen en el buen o mal desempeño de la misma; proponiendo su mejoramiento mediante el uso de equipos Mikrotik con antenas Omnidireccionales configurados desde la plataforma Winbox, lo que les permitirá utilizar el servicio de internet tomando en cuenta que este servicio brindado se basará en los servicios y políticas que requiere la institución de educación superior. Todo esto ha sido posible mediante la aplicación de los métodos investigativos basados en la observación directa del problema en cuestión, con el fin de aprovechar los recursos que brinda la tecnología y satisfacer la necesidad de comunicación de la comunidad universitaria para el acceso a internet y sea utilizado como recurso de apoyo en el aprendizaje.
Description
Having access to the internet and its aggregates they have become in one of the essentials at the time to sharing information between users, so that both in home, companies and educational institutions have sought to obtain those benefits through the uses of a wired red or wireless red. For this reason is carried out the following research project through the study and analysis of the coverage of the WI-FI red Campus "Finca La Maria" of State Technical University of Quevedo and identify the technical aspects involved in the good or bad running of it; I propose their improvement through Mikrotik equipment’s with configured from the Winbox, Router Platform omnidirectional antenna, allowing them to use the internet service taking into account that this service is provided based on the services and policies that require college. All this has been possible through the use of investigative methods based on direct observation of the problem in question, in order to utilize the resources offered by technology and meet the communication needs of the university community to access the Internet and is used as a resource to support learning.
