Abstract
La Auditoria de Gestión es unos procesos sistemáticos que se preocupa en la detección de deficiencias e irregularidades que se presentan en la empresa, de esta forma se puede prevenir ciertos riesgos de producción a través de una exhaustiva examinación de los procesos y controles en el área de producción. Además de contar con una base de información para la toma de decisiones.
Por lo antes manifestado se realizó este proyecto de investigación titulado: AUDITORÍA DE GESTIÓN AL ÁREA DE PRODUCCIÓN Y SU RELACIÓN CON LA TOMA DE DECISIONES DE LA EMPRESA ORIENTAL INDUSTRIA ALIMENTICIA CIA. LTDA., CANTÓN QUEVEDO, AÑO 2012., el cual tiene como objetivos específicos: examinar el nivel de cumplimiento de las políticas en el área de producción, evaluar el control interno basado en las normas COSO, medir el grado de eficiencia, eficacia y efectividad en la utilización de los recursos en el área de producción y elaborar un informe de Auditoría independiente que aporte en la toma de decisiones del área de producción.
Para el desarrollo del tema se aplicó métodos, tipos, diseño, instrumentos y técnicas de investigación que permitieron obtener información esencial para el desarrollo de la investigación.
Se realizó un caso práctico desarrollando cada una de las fases de Auditoria: planificación en donde se realizó el plan de Auditoría, la ejecución que permitió encontrar las debilidades de la empresa y por último se emitió un informe de Auditoría.
Y para concluir este proyecto de investigación se desarrollaron conclusiones y recomendaciones

As stated before this research project was carried out entitled: AUDITORÍA DE GESTIÓN AL ÁREA DE PRODUCCIÓN Y SU RELACIÓN CON LA TOMA DE DECISIONES DE LA EMPRESA ORIENTAL INDUSTRIA ALIMENTICIA CIA. LTDA., CANTÓN QUEVEDO, AÑO 2012., which has the following objectives: to determine the level of compliance with the policies in the area of production, evaluate internal control based on the COSO standards, measure the degree of effectiveness, efficiency and effectiveness in the use of resources in the production area and draw up an independent audit to provide in the decision making of the production area.
For the development of the subject methods, types, design, research tools and techniques that allowed obtaining essential for the development of applied research information.
The case study was conducted to develop each of the phases of audit: planning where the audit plan, which allowed the execution to find the weaknesses of the company and finally a report issued audit was performed.
