Abstract
El presente trabajo constituye un diseño de un plan de interpretación ambiental para la Isla Portete del Cantón Muisne mediante la investigación de campo para identificar los atractivos turísticos naturales y las manifestaciones culturales que posee la Isla con la aplicación de fichas del MINTUR y ABACO, y un trabajo de encuestas aplicadas a los diferentes visitantes que llegaron a la Isla para determinar el perfil del turista y que requiere para ser más interesante y representar un verdadero servicio permanente luego la realización de un guion interpretativo que incluye a los sitios naturales ya identificados y a las manifestaciones culturales seguidos por un paquete turístico para dos tipos de gustos uno de ‘full day’ y otro un poco más científico porque se va a realizar la actividad de monitoreo de tortugas. En este trabajo se presenta sugerencias sobre el manejo y monitoreo de los servicios a futuro.
los atractivos turísticos naturales identificados de la Isla son: el manglar, la playa, la Isla Júpiter y la parroquia; los atractivos culturales son; la historia de Portete, la fiesta de los negros, la fiesta de la Virgen de Las Lajas entre otros; el perfil de turista en esta zona refleja que prefieren viajar por ocio y recreación, prefieren realizar actividades vivenciales, deportes extremos y algunos desean conocer sobre la historia de la Isla; en el plan de interpretación ambiental se determinó las fortalezas, oportunidades, debilidades y amenazas, también se propone medios interpretativos convenientes como paneles, folletos, señalética, actividades guiadas y senderos auto-guiados; dos paquetes turísticos con sus guiones interpretativos y costos.

This work constitutes a design of an interpretation plan for the environmental Portete Island, Muisne district Through the field research to identify the natural tourist attractions and cultural events that owns the island with the implementation of tabs in the MINTUR y ABACO, And a survey work applied to the different visitors who arrived to the island to determine the profile of the tourist and that requires to be more interesting and represent a true permanent service then the realization of a script that includes interpretative to natural sites already identified and the cultural expressions followed by a package tour for two types of tastes one of full day And another a little more scientific because it is going to perform the activity of monitoring of turtles. This paper presents suggestions on management and monitoring of services in the future.
The identified natural tourist attractions on the island are: the mangrove forest, the beach, the Island Júpiter and the village; The cultural attractions are; the history of Portete, The feast of the black, the feast of the Virgen de Las Lajas among others; the profile of tourists in this area reflects who prefer to travel for leisure and recreation, they prefer to use experiential activities, extreme sports and some want to know about the history of the island; In the plan of environmental interpretation are identified the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, it is also proposed as appropriate interpretive media panels, brochures, signage, guided activities and trails self-guided; two tourist packages with their scripts and interpretative costs.
